Picnic 2016

As our annual picnic approaches the picnic crew is very busy organizing our biggest weekend. It all begins on Saturday July 30 with our pancake breakfast, followed by our picnic that includes volleyball, races for young and old, horse shoes, food and drinks. Don’t forget the fireworks off Memorial Island on Sunday evening.

As with every year, we are always looking for volunteers to help with various events, selling tickets, cooks, and cash duties. We cannot put this event on unless we get help. If you are willing to lend a hand for an hour please contact Susan Wehrle, Colleen Ryland, or Clay before the long weekend. (Clay’s # 224-1263)

We are always looking for silent auction donations for our picnic. The funds that cover our picnic expenses come from the revenue generated by the auction.  Any donations can be left with Colleen at the Black’s cottage in north part of the lake. Donations may also be given to any Board member. Colleen is also gathering names of cottagers that are willing to be a stop for our poker derby in September. Please let her know if you are interested!

Please be aware that at the picnic we have limited change. Small bills and correct change is much appreciated. Save your big bills for the auction and the Puff Fire Hall “Fill the Boot”.

Just as a reminder, please leave your trailers in the appropriate areas outside the vehicle parking area. Boats, trailers, and trailers attached to vehicles are taking up parking areas designated for vehicles. We have negotiated a trailer parking area with the MNR, so please use it.
