We awoke this morning to a pleasant surprise, I would estimate the N
lake is 98% ice covered. Campbells point reports Bradleys bay is 80%
covered with some open puddles. There is still open water in the main
body of the lake around Memorial; the telephoto pic shows the area past
Marsden point S of Memorial. The shore line pic shows how the ice was
expanding and fracturing on the shore rocks. It appears the ice is
about 1/4 inch thick. The forecast is +3F today with S wind so we will
see what is left of the ice later today.
