Nov. 23

The wind has swept what little snow we had on the ice pretty much clean.  Quad season is extending.  The warm temperatures we are experiencing are the antithesis to good ice production with the concern being the recent freeze over and the thin ice around the diving rock area.  I anticipate checking ice thickness towards next Wednesday, at the earliest, assuming the temperatures remain as forecast.  We are still early for safe ice travel.  Reviewing past records,  Dec. 15th seems to be about average.
