At the landing today and found ice 200-300 feet out from the boat launch about 1/2 thick.  Able to break through this time.  The E channel en route had aprox 50% ice cover, again, about 1/2 thick and this is with strong S wind and an overnight temp of -4C.  No ice of note as yet in the N lake.  Web cam has been reset and appears to be working.

There is a boat on a trailer at the curve at the top of the hill leaving the landing which needs to be moved as it is/will be a hazard to the snow plow and winter travel because it is partially blocking the road.  There is also another boat and trailer along the road which will also create problems for plowing.  In the middle of the main parking is yet another boat and trailer which will be in the way of winter parking.  We have a lot of winter travel once the ice is ready with an average of 20-30 or more vehicles bringing in snowmobiles in the winter every  weekend and with snow, parking is always at a premium during the winter.  There is space in the trailer parking if for some reason these boats can't winter "at home".  Just saying……
