A couple of long shots. Ice down the west shore, and the narrows area.
A boat did come in today around 1200 and made it into the N lake, had
to push through the ice N of the narrows. The report from Indian bay is
that it is filled up again with ice with the continuing strong winds
which have shifted to E. We aren’t able to launch our boat with the
waves and whitecaps coming straight into our shore. When the pictures
were taken, a couple of ice slabs were noted blowing toward the W across
the lake, just N of Memorial island. Looks to have come out of
Bradleys. Bob mentioned the broken ice down at the narrows and along
the W shore can be 3-4 inches thick and still quite solid, although
broken up.
