We have strong S wind today and the pan is blowing north and breaking. Came back just now from the narrows and the route taken was to the East side of the big island. There is a large pan still from the big island W to the mainland, which at this time is piling on Memorial island and I think stuck there. Going around the big island we had to crunch some ice. To Campbells point and across to the west side and crunched through more ice to get past Hamptons and around the corner at Marsden point. Bradleys bay looked open, Some ice still in Coplands bay. Based on conditions the best advice at this time is to arrive in daylight. Conditions are rapidly changing and I will post again later.
