HEADS UP! The news is reporting a MANDATORY self isolation for 14 days if returning or going to Manitoba. Expect delays due to check points at the border. Report just in from our south lake camper. He reports the ice is water covered across to the big island. Apparently at the landing we are dealing more with slush. The narrows is opening up and reaching north. The north lake still appears to be "snow covered", but I assume it will be soft and slushy.
This recommendation does not include:
• the commercial transportation of goods and services;
• workers who live in a neighbouring jurisdiction and travel to Manitoba for work;
• health care workers who travel to work from outside the province;
• normal personal travel in border communities, including visits to a cottage.
