Spring is coming early this year. Got back from the big smoke this evening and things are a changing. To start, the trail markers are down and I do believe have been picked up. The markers had mostly fallen over due to the melt. Coming across, it had been cool enough today to leave a crust with just enough “snow” to keep the sliders happy. There are patches of bare ice. The narrows is reaching into the north lake, dark wet looking patches getting within about 20 feet of the main trail with open water farther out from the main trail and inline with the narrows channel. South facing hills like my path up has gone to mud since Tuesday. If we get the forecast temps and sun tomorrow I suspect we will have water on ice sooner than later. I will be going to the landing in the morning and will report back if anything profound has developed. Otherwise expect wet and slush.
