Dec. 8th

To start with, we have heard the plow truck is broken and Devlin is
waiting for parts. It is reported the road won’t be plowed till next
week. E Clay reported difficulty going up sand hill the other day. If
this changes, I’ll post ASAP. Yesterday checked the W side along where
the trail would be. Starting in my area, at a point halfway between my
dock and Marsaden point I got 5 inches with an inches of slush ice on
top. Continuing down the W side, all holes drilled along this route to
the narrows were “dry” indicating over 6 inches. However, all holes
drilled had 1-2 inches of white ice, slush ice, from flooding caused by
numerous cracks which have formed. There will be additional holes
drilled today so will try and report later this afternoon.
