Dec. 7

Took a walk down to Cindy's bay; going across our bay, where we have had ice since Nov. 25, we found the shallowest ice thickness at 4 inches.  Continuing past Marsden point and south, walking 50-75 feet off shore, we found 60% 5 inch depth and 40% 4 1/2inches in ice that has been in situ for about a week and a half.  We did not venture close to any of the new ice which formed on Sunday so Cindy's bay was the end of the line.  Good snow cover with slushy patches in older formed ice.  Lots of cracks with some minuscule pressure ridges present.
