Insert disclaimer here…..Ice is never 100% safe and conditions can vary throughout the lake. Starting on the approach to the narrows north side we found a 6 inch thickness at the first point N from Butches dock. The northern approach to the crossing is a large slush area. Crossing over to the south side, we have a repeat of the slush at the southern approach. Continued to the landing. Overall, on the main trail area we found 7-8 inches of ice. There is a good snow cover on the lake with a lot of wind drifts. Slush is a very real possibility. At this time there are no markers set up. Road has not been plowed as of yet, Winter Road Dues payable to Al Campbell.
Thanks for keeping us all up to date! We expect to arrive on Dec 27 with stragglers on the 28th. Muffins on Jan. 2nd at the blue cabin. All welcome!
