Walked out from the dock to the area where the trail would be en route to the station.  Farther out I got a flooded hole, the point of the paddle bit got through, but couldn't insert the hooked wire.  Over  5 1/2 inches.  Walking back towards shore I kept getting a measured 5 1/2 and one hole a little less.  I'm thinking Sunday after 2 more cold nights would be a good time to do a run down the trail to check the ice thickness.
