Our bay has opened up dramatically.  It is open on a line from Rekruts to Marsden point.  We figure we could canoe to the station along the margin, however with the ESE wind, if the pan shifts we could get trapped.  Chunks of break up have blown into our shore.  Out towards the center of the lake small patches of water can be seen.  Can't tell if this is a surface patch or opening of the pan.
