Out today playing a little bit. The west shore from Marsden point to just past diving rock is still ice locked. On the E shore there is a channel which gets down to less than 50 feet wide in some places. Able to round Campbells Point rest home, careful not to go by at afternoon nap time, and had passage down the north shore of Bradleys bay hugging the shore into Copelands bay. It must be noted that the ice in the pack is rather solid and I was unable to break through with the boat. I got lucky that the wind didn’t change and close the route. Overall there is a considerable change from this morning but the main pack still extends from about 1/2 mile south of the narrows to within about 500 feet on the north shore at the station. Depending on the winds, all bets are off.
