April 25, Deer rescue

Detect-o-deer has once again been saved from Poseidon’s cold depths after another spring of ice watch. A hearty huzzah to our faithful friend. And of course when out there had to play. The faithful Aeroliner was able to break into the ice at the edges for about 15 feet or so before climbing onto the pack. Scooted around the edge up the east shore to about Stearns then things got narrow on the edge and the wind was coming up. On the west side couldn’t get around Jeffs point, the ice is right up onto the west shore south of the point. Jackfish bay off Marsden point opened up pretty much to my dock. Al reports he made it to Edwards for coffee this morning. Not sure at this time how things are towards the narrows.
