After the weekend rains we have gone to water cover with intermittent
patches of slush. The ice/water level has risen aprox as much as 4
inches and has contributed to break up along the edges. Our approach
into the yard is done. Haven’t heard how the narrows are doing. We got
our electric ice auger out and using a rough estimate, we think there is
18 inches of ice. However, this is a moot point if you can’t get onto
the ice. Forecast of an additional 5 cm of snow tonight out this way.
I would add my personal thoughts about this spring but it would be
offensive to some viewers……….
