Down to the landing for a pickup. South side of the narrows is rapidly deteriorating and on the north side open water is within 10 feet or so of the trail. At the landing, thick slush and water, one of the crew got stuck and had to be winched. Down hill and out was easier, momentum being our friend. General consensus is its not safe for any kind of travel. We are off the ice.
