April 14th

We have received about 10-12 inches of wet heavy snow. The most
important takeaway is the road WILL NOT BE PLOWED due to road
restrictions and the wet heavy texture of the snow and the overall
“softness” of the road, so we will have to wait for the warmer
temperatures to melt the road off. Last report on the narrows from 2
days ago before the fresh snow was it was cross-able with difficulty due
to the existing deep snow on the crossing. The water on the N side has
progressed to within 5 feet of the Xmas tree and trail; the Xmas tree
has been removed. We have moved the quad out back due to our margin at
the shoreline opening. Another sure sign of spring, our in-dwelling
electric ice auger has been released by the ice and popped up.
