Between yesterday and today with the ENE winds the lake has dramatically opened. We have ice remaining on the north side of the narrows and some in Copelands bay. Bobby was unable today to access the north lake through the narrows due to the ice, but at the rate we are going, the weekend is looking positive. Bobby reported a pan of ice towards Pratts which was moving around. Hopefully the ice will mostly go before we get S winds and have the remaining pan march north to play with our docks. We have received about 2 inches of snow and I could see the grins on the grills of the Skandics. I didn't have the heart to tell them this will probably be gone by the weekend. A sure sign of a long ice out, talking to snowmobiles.
