From Gordon McLean:
Have not been to Malachi for 45 years. We bought a cabin in the 50’s from Dick Smith. Dick lived in those tin shacks at the main docks. Our cabin was next to the Lothians and Manleys. I believe we paid $700 for our cabin. I new Barry Lloyd and Bob Davies. I think Bob sold his cabin a couple of years ago. I now reside in North Vancouver and have been retired from the newspaper for the past 11 years. I’m the only McLean alive now as my brother George died last Sept. Some of the characters I remember at Malachi were JB Simpson, Alan Garmes, Gordon Fanstone and the Taylors. South lake did not have any cottages when we sold the property in 1967. Bye for now Gordon McLean
